Family is the most important thing to me, so I go home very often. I have two siblings, a brother and a sister. My brother, Bryten, is 15 and just entered his freshman year of high school, and loves to play football. My sister, Madelyn, is 18 and just started her freshman year of college at Northeastern State University in Tahlequah, OK. I also have an English Bulldog named Lucy, who is my favorite person on this earth (yes, I treat my dog as a person). I grew up on a family farm that has been in the family for 5 generations, which has been a very unique experience, especially getting to witness what ancestors before me have worked so hard to build. Growing up on a farm has taught me so many valuable lessons that I will use throughout my life.

I love watching Netflix. This summer, I finished up AMC's Breaking Bad, which is based on a high school chemistry teacher and his life struggles. I highly recommend this show. Currently, I am watching, The CW's Reign, which is based on Mary Queen of Scots and her rule. Reign is by far the best show I have ever watched on Netflix. Also, I love movies, my favorite genre is comedy or romantic comedy. My all time favorite movie is White Chicks.

Hi Aubyrelle! This is the semester for Spiro in these classes; there is a student in Indian Epics who is from Spiro also: maybe you two know each other already! Here he is: Jeremy. And your bulldog is such a cutie: maybe she will make an appearance in a story that you tell this semester! About Breaking Bad, I just saw a great movie (we watched it with Amazon Prime; I don't know if it is on Netflix): Infiltrator, with Bryan Cranston working undercover to bust a Colombian drug cartel back in the 1980s. A true story too! Now I want to read the book; I thought the movie was great. Bryan Cranston is such a good actor! :-)
ReplyDeleteHi Aubryelle! I think my friend Laura is your big — your name sounds super familiar to me. Laura and I were roommates sophomore year. Anyway, your dog is adorable. I got to hold a bulldog puppy last year and it pretty much made my whole life. It sounds like you had a great summer in Hawaii! Also, I love that you want to open a free clinic in your hometown! That's such a noble goal. Hope you have a great semester!
ReplyDeleteHello there, Aubryelle! First off, I love bulldogs. My first pet coming into the world was a bulldog (my parents bought him just a few weeks before I was born). So I am glad you, too, can appreciate such lovely creatures.
ReplyDeleteYour idea free a free clinic sounds wonderful. I hope you can continue to pursue that dream. There's lots of people in that area that could use the help. I wish all the luck in the world to you, and hope you have a great semester!
Aubryelle,
ReplyDeleteDid Organic Chemistry kick your tail? My husband took O-Chem our freshman year, and it ate his lunch weekly. Congrats if you snuck by with an A! A free clinic huh? That is a great feat to reach for. I have a friend who just opened up a free clinic in lower Oklahoma City and the community is so appreciative. It is difficult, of course you know, so good luck to you. It will be worth it.
Hi Aubryelle!
ReplyDeleteI have actually heard of the Spiro Mounds! But I've never been there myself. It sounds like a really cool place! PA is a really goo degree path! I am doing Pre PT senior and I hope everything works out where you can open your own clinic! How everything goes well this semester!
• Hey Aubrylle, I have lived in Moore, OK my entire life and I am sad to say I have never heard of the Spiro Mounds. I went to the site you linked to the Spiro Mounds, and I cannot believe that this is the first that I am hearing about them and their history. I am also a dog mom and love my boys like they are my children too! Good luck with your classes this semester.
ReplyDeleteHi Aubryelle! Wow, you want to start a free clinic in your hometown!? That's fantastic! I hope it happens, good luck! Also, you got to go to Hawaii over the summer?! Lucky!!! I've always wanted to go -- I love beaches!
ReplyDeleteI've heard a lot about Breaking Bad, but I still haven't watched it! Maybe I will when I get a chance.
Hey Aubryelle! I think it is great that you still dream of going back to your hometown to serve your community. I think people are often conflucted between their desire to help their hometown but also wanting to go on and do something different in a different place. I wish you all the best in your dream to open up a free clinic! The world definitely needs more people like you!
ReplyDeleteHello Aubryelle! Your name sounds very unique and beauty! It is wonderful that you are willing to help and give back to the community in the future! I hope you will be able to achieve your dream and good luck! Oh and by the ways, the picture of your Hawaii trip is really beautiful and your Lucy is so cute. It is nice to meet you!
ReplyDeleteHi Aubryelle! Although I grew up in Oklahoma, I have never been to Spiro. The picture you took in Hawaii is amazing and I have always wanted to travel there. I also love watching Netflix and Breaking Bad is hands down my favorite show of all time. I wouldn’t say my favorite movie is White Chicks, but it is definitely in the top ten.
ReplyDeleteHi Aubyrelle! How neat...I have never heard of Spiro. Is it close to OU? Hoping so as you enjoy your family so much! That's so awesome that you grew up on a farm and get to see such rich history every time you go home. That is amazing!
ReplyDeleteI also admire your future goal to open a free clinic as I feel that will be needed more and more in the future! Like you, I also treat my dogs as people!
Thank you for sharing!!
Hi Aubyrelle!
ReplyDeleteYour passion to go back to your hometown and open up a free clinic is very heartwarming and inspiring! You have a very kind heart and with dedication and purpose I believe that you can achieve your goals and dreams. That's awesome that you've been to Hawaii recently. I personally have only been there once in my life and it was when I was a very young, so I don't remember too much! Breaking Bad is such a good TV show! It's probably up there on my list of greatest TV shows of all time. I have never seen Reign, but now that you mention it's your favorite show I'll check it out!
Hi Aubryelle!
ReplyDeleteI love that you are Pre-PA and want to open up your own clinic someday. My roommate is pre-pa and she always talks about it and I think it sounds like such a fulfilling path to take. I'm so glad you got through O-Chem, I've heard that class is incredibly difficult. My roommate took it and she hated it but ended up doing okay in it.
I haven't ever watched Breaking Bad but I'll have to add that one to my list because I've heard nothing but good things about it from a lot of people.
Hi Aubryelle!
ReplyDeleteIt's so great that you're invested in your hometown and want to bring free healthcare there! I love to see people who remember where they grew up and go back to serve there. This might sound strange, but I've always wanted to live on a farm! How wonderful that your farm has been in the family for so long; it must have been a special place to grow up. I finally got around to watching White Chicks last year and it is so hilarious! Good luck with your semester and with all the pre-PA requirements!
Hi Aubryelle.
ReplyDeleteHow are you liking Biology as a major? That's so cool you went to Hawaii for your sisters graduation do you know where you would like to go for your graduation yet? I've obviously heard so many things about Breaking Bad but I've never actually watched. Besides BB what is your favorite series to watch on Netflix?
Hello Aubreyelle. I love that you are a Biology major because I am as well. I also have been to Hawaii and it could possibly be one of the best vacations I have ever taken. I also love that you enjoy Breaking Bad because that was my favorite drama show. I recommend watching Westworld too because it is a great drama with twists as well. I also think White Chicks is a classic comedy that one can’t help but laugh at!
ReplyDeleteHello Aubreyelle! It is a wonderful goal to open a free clinic in your hometown. Your family and community must be really proud of you. Your trip to Hawaii sounds amazing! What kind of places did you visit? I have been thinking of watching the TV show Reign, and your approval of the show has prompted me further to look into it. Have a great week!
ReplyDeleteHi Aubryelle!
ReplyDeleteFirst of all, your design and background of your blog is super cool! I also really like how you set up your navigation bar; it is easy to navigate and is user-friendly. I like how you incorporated some personal images into your introduction, especially the photo of Lucy. She is too cute! I hope you are having a good semester so far!
Hi Aubreyelle!
ReplyDeleteNice to meet you! I just wanted to mention how I really like the organization of your blog. I have never seen a layout like this before, especially with the tags at the beginning of the page (which were so so helpful). It's so great that you're family oriented because I definitely am too! White Chicks is also the funniest movie I have ever seen, and it never gets old to me. I am excited to read your stories and get to know you more! Nice to meet you again!
Hi! First off, I love love love the theme of your blog it is so creative! Second, how cool that your sister went to school in Hawaii! It has always been one of my favorite places. I love the island of Maui the most. Although Hawaii is beautiful I am not sure if I could live there, I think that I would get island fever. White Chicks is also one of my favorite movies. I find that I enjoy older movies more than the ones that have recently come out
ReplyDeleteHey there, Aubryelle!
ReplyDeleteI am from a small town as well, so I can relate in that sense! I love that you are so passionate about helping others. That is a refreshing thing to see these days. I am going to Hawaii this Christmas break to visit my brother! I am really looking forward to that, and I hope I have as much fun as you did. I like that family is such a huge part of your life. Having siblings is one of the greatest things ever.
Hi Aubryelle! I LOVE that you got to see lava running into the ocean in Hawaii like that! That must have been an incredible experience! That is one of my dreams to see! Also I have to make an obligatory comment on how adorable your dog is, she is the cutest. White Chicks is one of my favorite movies too, and Breaking Bad is definitely a show worth binging! Good luck this semester!!
ReplyDeleteHi there Aubryelle! It is so nice to meet ya!
ReplyDeleteWow, Spiro Oklahoma! I have honestly lived here my whole life, and never heard of Spiro. But three hours east of Norman? That must put you practically in Arkansas. However, that side of Oklahoma is beautiful! And your sister is living in Talequah, which is also a very cool and very beautiful place to visit in the fall! Good luck with everything in this class!
Hey Aubryelle! I, like you, am also going to be applying to PA school soon! It is really cool to hear that you hope to open a non profit in your town. There in Spiro, I am sure they are in need of something like that and being ran by one of their own would be very rewarding for you as well as good for the community. I know how people are in small towns in oklahoma. They like to trust their own people more than some doctor that they have never heard of, and rightfully so. So, you would be doing your community a great justice by fulfilling your dream. Good luck on everything!
ReplyDeleteHi Aubryelle! It's so nice to finally make it to your introduction! I remember you saying that you live with one of my sorority sisters, Chelsea Journee. I don't know if you meant to make a pun but I laughed when you said you had a "blast" in Hawaii because ya know it's made from volcanoes. Anyways... did you take O-chem in Arezzo? I had some friends who did that and it looked like so much fun. Your dog is adorable and I bet she loves living on a farm. She just looks like the kind of dog to be happy no matter what happens. Good luck with the rest of the semester!
